What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are

Pawtrove (“we”, “us”) operates pawtrove.co.uk. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller. You can reach us at info@pawtrove.co.uk or at 6 Robinia Close, Ilford IG6 3AJ.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and what you ordered.
  • Payment information: handled by WooCommerce Payments, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Contact messages: anything you send us by email or through the contact form.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address, if you choose to join our mailing list.
  • Usage data: basic analytics about how the site is used, collected through cookies.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To fulfil your order (performance of a contract): processing payment, arranging delivery, handling returns.
  • To provide support (legitimate interests): answering your questions and resolving problems.
  • To send marketing emails (consent): only if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe from any email.
  • To improve the site (legitimate interests): understanding which pages and products are useful.
  • To meet legal obligations: keeping records for tax and accounting.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, with:

  • WooCommerce Payments, to take payment
  • Our fulfilment partner and couriers, to pick, pack and deliver your order
  • Our email provider, if you have subscribed
  • Our analytics provider, in aggregated form

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site and basket to work, plus optional analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can accept or decline the optional ones through the cookie banner, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept for 2 years.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it elsewhere. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time.

To exercise any of these, email info@pawtrove.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
