An anti gulping insert for the bowl you already have

If your dog already has a bowl they like, or you feed from a stand, you do not need to replace it. This insert sits inside a standard bowl and does the same job as a maze — food falls between the ridges and your dog has to slow down.

Why an insert instead of a new bowl

Two reasons. It is easier on a dog who is fussy about change, and it works with raw and wet food where a deep maze can be awkward to clean. Lift it out, wash both parts, drop it back in.

Does it actually stop gulping

It slows it. A dog determined to eat fast will still be quicker than a slow eater, but going from three mouthfuls to fifteen makes a real difference to the air they swallow. If your dog is a serious gulper, pair it with smaller, more frequent meals.

Check the fit first

Measure the inside diameter of your bowl at the base, not the rim. Bowls that taper sharply are the ones where inserts sit too high.

⚠ Wash before first use.
Rinse in warm soapy water and dry before your dog’s first meal. If your dog has only ever eaten from a flat bowl, put a smaller portion in for the first few days — the point is to slow them down, not to frustrate them.
